Jazz Forum

This club desires to spread and expand cultural open-mindedness throughout the Corps by exposing cadets to the aesthetic world of jazz; a world that has affected and influenced America socially and culturally throughout its history. /DEP/PublishingImages/JF_Event.jpgThrough this first-hand exposure--by visiting jazz clubs in NYC and Newburgh--cadets will gain a new appreciation for the arts as well as develop and shape facets of their identity to make them well rounded.

Recent Events

  • 12 February (1500) - Jazz Knights performance:
    African American History Month Concert, "A Blue Note Retrospective"
    The forum will be meeting some kids from Brooklyn before the concert as part of an educational outreach.
  • On Saturday March 31st the Cadet Jazz Forum attended "Generations in Vocal Jazz" at Dizzy's Club in Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City.  The performance featured the vocals of Sachal Vasandani and Jon Hendricks.
