Department of Foreign Languages Persian Abroad Program

PERSIAN in Tajikistan

Summer intensive program in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. During this 8-week program cadets live with a Tajik family, attend daily classes in Persian-Farsi and have one-to-one conversation classes in the afternoons to become more proficient in Persian-Tajiki and Persian-Farsi. Weekend excursions and travels will give participants the opportunity to practice the target language, learn about the region’s culture, and enjoy the beauty of Tajikistan. Cadets will receive a grade for coursework. Completion of Intermediate Persian is highly recommended.

Academic Credit: Up to 6 credits

Number of Cadets: Selective, based on performance in intermediate Persian
