Department of Foreign Languages : Russian Abroad Program

RUSSIAN in the Former Soviet Union
During a three-week intensive language program increase your proficiency and confidence in Russian. Extend your knowledge of language, history, culture and military life in countries such as Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan. Live at a military academy and train on Russian-made weapons and equipment. Tour historical and recreational sites in the country, and interact with the local population. Your daily oral performance and journal are evaluated for grade.
 
Academic Credit: 3.0 hours Number of Cadets: 12 maximum

RUSSIAN in Russia
 
Conduct daily activities in Russian. Increase your proficiency and confidence in Russian and your knowledge of Russian culture during a three-week intensive language program at Voronezh State University. Complete a program of visits to sites of national significance and extend your knowledge of history, politics and military life. Attend daily instruction in language and culture. Your written and oral presentations and daily journal are evaluated for grade.
