About:
Accessions Division is the United States Military Academy’s proponent for cadet Branch Education and Mentorship and is responsible for not only the branch and post selections made annually by the First Class cadets but also their transition to the Army.
Accessions Division is a subordinate division of the Department of Military Instruction, one of major directorates that fall under the Commandant, United States Corps of Cadets.
Accessions Division often works with activities, departments and other divisions both internal and external to USMA. Internally, Accessions maintains a close relationship with the USCC S1, USMA staff, numerous academic departments, and the Brigade Tactical Department. Externally, Accessions division works closely with the Department of the Army G1, the Office of Economic & Manpower Analysis (OEMA), branch proponents, and Human Resources Command (HRC)
Accessions Division itself is compromised of Branch Representatives/Advisors by the USMA TDA. The current Division Chief is the Air Force Liaison Officer. Officers assigned as Branch Representatives in most cases oversee multiple branches, which are typically grouped by type (Maneuver, Maneuver Support, Operational Support, Force Sustainment, etc).
