CPT Ryan Scott was born in Corsicana, Texas.  He graduated from Harding University in 1998. He enlisted as a 42R-Army Bandsman-Guitarist in 2005 and was assigned to the 77th Army Band, Fort Sill, OK and then as a Senior Instrumentalist with the 323rd Army Band, Fort Sam Houston, TX.  He graduated OCS in 2009 and FA BOLC in 2010. Upon graduation he was assigned as a Fire Support Officer with C Company, 1-504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne in Al Asad, Iraq.  Upon redeployment to Fort Bragg, NC he was assigned as Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer with B Battery and HHB, 3-319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne.  After graduating the FA Captain’s Career Course in 2013 he was assigned to B Battery, 1/30th FA Battalion, 428th FA Brigade in Fort Sill, OK as a FA BOLC Gunnery Instructor.  In 2015 he assumed command of HHB, 428th FA Brigade.  He currently serves as a Military Science instructor within the Department of Military Instruction for the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY.
