Small, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, service
disabled veteran-owned and HUBZone business programs:
To ensure equality in Federal procurements, a number of programs have been
established. These include various types of preference programs, such as small
business set-asides, business development program (8(a)), service disabled
veteran-owned set-asides, HUBZone set-asides and small woman-owned business
set-asides. These are designed to assist companies and organizations that
otherwise may not be able to compete for government contract awards. All firms
are encouraged to become familiar with, and take advantage of, any programs for
which they qualify.
