The Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) is conducting a Reverse Auction (RA) Pilot to determine the effectiveness of RA techniques as both a money and time savings process. Reverse Auction is a pricing technique. RA is mandatory for use by the MICC for 1) simplified acquisition purchases of supplies (commercial items) up to $100,000; 2) government wide contracts are applicable up to the specified limits (GSA, GWACS, BPAs, MOL). Although RA is only mandatory up to $100,000, RA can be used for purchases up to $5.5M (commercial items or non-commercial, both supply and service). The Army selected FEDBID to provide a commercially available online reverse auction service. FEDBID registration is free. For opportunities on our actions using FEDBID, please go to: www.fedbid.com |
