The Human Performance Laboratory conducts cutting edge research in Kinesiology. The 3,000 square foot state of the art laboratory located in the basement of the Arvin Cadet Physical Development Center contains equipment for analyzing human movement, muscle function, metabolism, and body composition. Major areas of research benefit various sports performance and military applications and involve selected topics in exercise physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, and sports psychology. In addition to faculty research, the Human Performance Laboratory also provides an opportunity for Kinesiology Majors at the United States Military Academy to apply academic knowledge in the form of capstone projects.
