MAJ Mitroka graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2004. He branched Engineers and upon completing the Basic Dive Officer course at the Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center he was assigned to the 86th Engineer Dive Team. He has deployed to Iraq on a Military Transition Team and Afghanistan in an Infrastructure Training Advisory Group. He earned an M.S. in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2011, and an M.Ed. in Kinesiology from the University of Virginia in 2013. He currently instructs survival swimming, SCUBA, Snowboarding, and Army Fitness Development. He also serves as the administrative and recruiting officer for DPE.
