DR Todd A. Crowder graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Ph.D. in Human Performance in 1989.   His areas of concentration were exercise physiology, nutrition, sports psychology and statistics.  Todd has served as an Associate Professor at the United States Military Academy since 1990.  Since June of 2000, he was appointed to the newly created position of Director of the Department of Physical Education’s Center for Physical Development Excellence.

In his career, he has been associated with sports (high school, collegiate and professional), corporate fitness (3M, Proctor and Gamble, and the Midland Company), resort fitness (Amelia Island) and a variety of research studies.  He has presented over 20 international/national presentations.  A former athlete, he played four sports in high school, two during his collegiate career, and coached briefly while at MIZZOU.  His background is one of optimal performance with expertise in body composition, cardiovascular fitness, strength development, fitness testing and sports nutrition.

He has been influenced greatly by his wife Cathy, and their two girls (Lauren and Sarah). Additionally his family’s influence of over 45+ years of commitment to service in secondary school education and military service to our nation provides a bedrock foundation of inspiration.  Todd has maintained a passionate belief in active lifestyles, fitness, and optimal performance since 1970.
