The Black Knight Drill Team is an exhibition drill team composed of 20 Cadets from each of West Point's four classes. The team uses the M1903 Springfield Rifle in all of its performances and competitions. The mission of the Drill Team is to inspire increased esprit de corps in the Corps of Cadets by demonstrating excellence in exhibition drill, and to professionally represent the excellence of the Academy and Corps in all civic, military, and competitive events. The team's motto, "Pride and Discipline," was formed from this dedication to excellence.
