MAJ Turner enlisted as an M1 tank crewman and was assigned to 5-12 Cavalry, Fort Knox, Kentucky. He was selected for the West Point Preparatory School Program and was commissioned as an Armor officer. His previous military assignments include Mechanized Infantry Platoon Leader in 1-41 Infantry, Tank Platoon Leader, Support Platoon Leader and Battalion Assistant S3 in 2-70 Armor, 1st Armor Division; Company Commander in 1st Armor Training Brigade; Assistant Product Manager, Combat ID in Program Executive Office, Intelligence, Electronic Warfare & Sensors. He is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic Course, the Armor Captain Career Course, Combined Arms and Service Staff School, the Acquisition Basic Course and Command and General Staff Officer Course - Intermediate Level Education. MAJ Turner's research interests include simulation, artificial intelligence and network security.
