MAJ Cody was commissioned as a Signal Officer from the United States Military Academy in 2000. His previous assignments include platoon leader and executive officer (B/86th Signal Battalion), assistant operations officer (86th Signal Battalion), detachment officer in charge (56th Signal Battalion), company commander (C/63rd Signal Battalion), and rear detachment commander (63rd Signal Battalion). He is a graduate of the Air Assault School, Signal Officer Basic Course, Network Nodal Manager's Course, and the Signal Captain's Career Course. MAJ Cody has deployed to Afghanistan, Iraq, and Kuwait in support of Operation Enduring Freedom I, Operation Iraqi Freedom I, and Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005-2006) respectively. Academic interests include communications networks, computer graphics, and artificial intelligence.
