MAJ Jason Hussey received his commission from the ROTC program at Bowling Green State University as an Infantry Officer on May 5th, 2005 and was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, TX. There he served as a Platoon Leader and Executive Officer in Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, deploying in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to Baghdad, Iraq from OCT 2006-JAN 2008. In 2009, MAJ Hussey voluntarily transferred to Functional Area 24, Telecommunications Systems Engineer. His first assignment as an FA24 was to the Office of Military Cooperation - Kuwait serving as a Data Communications Advisor to the Kuwaiti Signal Corps. Following this tour, MAJ Hussey attended the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO where he earned a M.S. in Telecommunications. His most recent assignment was to the 5th Regional Cyber Center in Europe as Chief of the Network Management Division, responsible for the operations and maintenance of thousands of network devices providing IT services to USAREUR's tenant units as well as HQUSAFRICOM and HQUSEUCOM. MAJ Hussey is currently serving as an Instructor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at the United States Military Academy.
MAJ Hussey's military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, US Army Ranger School, US Army Airborne School, Mechanized Leader's Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, Telecommunications Systems Engineer Course, and the Command and General Staff Officer Course.
MAJ Hussey is a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
