MAJ Daigo Hirayama is a Functional Area 24 (Information Systems Engineering officer). He provided communication support for the Transition of Iraq Phase and during the Iraqi National Resolution Phase of the Iraq Campaign. MAJ Hirayama most recently served as the project officer for Army Knowledge Online, primarily focusing on the transition of the legacy AKO system to the new capabilities. His academic interests included information technology support, networking, optics, and signal processing.
