LTC Alexander Mentis is an Academy Professor teaching in the Computer Science program. He has served previously as a Signal Officer and Telecommunications Systems Engineer in several overseas assignments and operational deployments including S. Korea, Thailand, Egypt, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Bahrain. His past military duty positions include Signal Company Commander in the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault); S-6 at the brigade and battalion levels in the 101st Airborne and 25th Infantry Divisions; and Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, and S-4 in a variety of tactical signal units. LTC Mentis is a Distinguished Graduate of the Command and General Staff College.
