MAJ Hester serves as the Chief of the Network Services Support Branch (NSSB), Information and Educational Technology Division (IETD). He has been designated career field 53, Information Systems Management. MAJ Hester’s previous military assignments include Flight Company XO, B/4-101 Aviation; Flight Platoon Leader (UH60), B/4-101 Aviation; Assault Liaison Officer, 187 Infantry Regiment; Personnel Officer, 4-101 Aviation, Ft. Campbell, KY; Assistant Operations Officer, 5-158 Aviation, Giebelstadt, Germany; Flight Company Commander (UH6), C/5-158 Aviation, Iraq and Germany. He is a graduate of the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Aviation Captain’s Career Course, Aviation Officer Basic Course, Initial Entry Rotary Wing Course, UH60 Aircraft Qualification Course, Pathfinder School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, and the Master Fitness Trainer Course. MAJ Hester has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom I. His research interests include network-centric warfare, battlespace communication, and group communication systems.
