MAJ Andrew Pfluger is an armor officer who has primarily held leadership positions in Cavalry units at the Squadron level and below. He has deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 3d ACR, once as a scout platoon leader and executive officer and once as a troop commander. He is an environmental engineer whose wide range of interests include environmental biotechnology, microbial ecology, and air pollution engineering. His graduate thesis examined the selective growth of type II methanotrophic bacteria in a biological fluidized bed reactor. MAJ Pfluger instructs EV300 (Environmental Science) and EV397 (Air Pollution Engineering).
