7th Biennial Global Leadership Conference 2013 
Leading Through Transitions 
 

Greetings from West Point.  The purpose of this letter is to notify you of an unfortunate development related to our department's 2013 Global Leadership Conference (GLC). 

Due to recent decisions rendered by the Department of Defense's senior leadership in response to pending sequestration legislation, this year's GLC has been cancelled.  We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause you.

The intent behind cancelling the conference is to proactively prepare for what will constitute an extraordinary event in our country's legislative history (should it come to pass).  Our great hope is to execute another GLC in the next 1-2 years once the U.S. public sector situation has stabilized.

Once again, please accept our apologies concerning this unfortunate situation.  Here's wishing you continued success and good health.
