CPT Devon C. Collins was born in Westfield, Massachusetts and graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2008. Her first assignment was as a platoon leader in Alpha Co, 173rd Brigade Support Battalion (BSB), 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team (BCT) at Warner Barracks in Bamberg, Germany. She deployed her platoon to Afghanistan (OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, 2009) and redeployed Bravo Co as Executive Officer (XO) in 2010.  Following the Logistics Captain’s Career Course she was stationed at Fort Bragg, NC in 2012 and assumed command of Bravo Co, 782nd BSB, 4th BCT, 82nd Airborne Division. After completion of command she served a year on division staff in the G4 supporting the deployment of the Division’s Advise and Assist mission to Iraq (OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE, 2015). Soon after she entered graduate school at Ohio State University and earned an MA in Military History. She currently serves as an Instructor in the Department of History at West Point and as an Officer Representative for the Women’s Soccer Team.
