CPT Christian A. Garner graduated from the United States Military Academy in 2007.
Commissioned as a Military Intelligence officer, his first assignment was with 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood, Texas.
During this assignment, CPT Garner served as a gun truck platoon leader in Dhi Qar, Iraq, from June 2008 to June 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and as the Battalion S-2 in Kirkuk, Iraq, from August 2010 to August 2011 in support of Operation New Dawn.
Following graduation from the Military Intelligence Captain’s Career Course, he was assigned to the 513th Military Intelligence Brigade at Fort Gordon, Georgia, where he served as the Brigade S-3 Training officer.
In August 2013, he assumed command of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 513th Military Intelligence Brigade.
Following the successful
completion of his command, CPT Garner attended graduate school at the University of North Texas and earned a Master’s of Arts in History in 2016.
He is married to the former Tiane Leonard of Lamesa, Texas, and they have two sons, Maxwell and Thayer, and a daughter, Winifred.
