CPT Ben Flores hails from Fresno, California and graduated from the United States Military Academy, in 2007.  His first assignment was to Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, with 1st BN, 27th Infantry (WOLFHOUNDS), 2nd Stryker BDE, 25th Infantry Division, where he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, and Company Executive Officer.  While assigned, he deployed to Taji, Iraq from NOV 2008 to FEB 2009 in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM and to Tikrit, Iraq from JUL 2010 to JAN 2011 in support of OPERATION NEW DAWN.  His next assignment was to Fort Campbell, KY, with 2nd BN, 506th Infantry, 4th BDE (CURRAHEE), 101st Airborne Division, where he served as an Assistant Operations Officer and the Weapons Company Commander (Whiskey Company).  In 2013, he deployed to Khost, Afghanistan in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.  Following command, he attended graduate school at the University of Arizona, and earned an MA in History.  He currently serves as an Instructor of American History in the History Department at West Point
