LTC Seanegan Sculley enlisted in the US Army as an Airborne Infantryman in January 1995. He was commissioned as an Armor Officer from Officer Candidate School in September 1999 and served as a tank platoon leader at Fort Hood, TX. From 2003-2005, he deployed to the Republic of Korea, serving as a Brigade Headquarters and Seanegan Sculley enlisted in the US Army as an Airborne Infantryman in January 1995. He was commissioned as an Armor Officer from Officer Candidate School in September 1999 and served as a tank platoon leader at Fort Hood, TX. From 2003-2005, he deployed to the Republic of Korea, serving as a Brigade Headquarters and Headquarters Company Commander and as the commander of Bravo Troop, 4th Squadron, 7th Cavalry Regiment.  Following company command he entered graduate school at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, earned an MA in American History, and returned to West Point to teach in the Department of History (2007-2012).  During that period, from October 2009 to October 2010, he deployed to Mosul, Iraq as a military advisor. In 2013, he graduated from Command and General Staff College (CGSC) at Fort Leavenworth, KS and became the Battalion Executive Officer of the 4th Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment at Fort Jackson, SC. The next year he served as the Brigade Operations Officer for the 171st Infantry Brigade, also at Fort Jackson. He returned to the Department of History as an Academy Professor and Chief of the American History Division in 2015 following the completion of his Ph.D. in American History at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He also serves as an OR for the USMA Sailing Club.
