CPT David W. Lambert was born in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor’s Degree in History in 2007.  His first assignment was as a Tank Platoon Leader in 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry at Fort Hood Texas.  He deployed as a Tank Company Executive Officer with 1/12 CAV to Mosul, Iraq in 2009, and served as the Battalion Logistics Officer following his redeployment to Fort Hood in 2010.  After completing Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, CPT Lambert commanded a Tank Company and a Headquarters Company in 1st Battalion, 72nd Armor at Camp Casey Korea.  Following command, CPT Lambert attended graduate school at Georgetown University and earned a Master’s Degree in Global and International Comparative History.  He currently serves as an instructor in the American Division of the Department of History.
