CPT Jessica L. Cook was born in Los Angeles, California and enlisted in the US Army in 2000. While serving with the 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia, she deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom 1. She graduated from the University of Southern California in 2009 and was assigned to the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne, Fort Bragg, NC where she served as a platoon leader, battalion S2, and company XO. From 2013-2015 she commanded the 51st Translator and Interpreter Company (TICO) at Fort Irwin, CA. Following company command she entered graduate school at the University of Virginia and earned an MA in Early American History. She currently serves as an instructor at West Point in the Department of History.
