WEST POINT, N.Y. –– The U.S. Military Academy’s Marathon Team will run the ceremonial game ball from West Point to Philadelphia for the 113th Army-Navy football classic scheduled for Dec. 8 at Lincoln Financial Field, Pa.
The 19-member cadet team will accept the game ball at approximately 7 p.m. during the bonfire activities Dec. 6. The team will depart West Point, passing through several towns and cities during the two-day run to deliver the game ball for opening ceremonies at 2 p.m. Dec. 8.
At approximately midnight, Dec. 7, the team will pass through Suffern, N.J. along Route 202 to Route 32 into New Hope, and King of Prussia, Pa. The final portion of their journey will lead them to Route 63 West, Old Welsh Road, to 611 South, Old York Road, to Broad St.
This year marks the 84th time the cadets and midshipmen have met head-to-head in Philadelphia for this long standing rivalry.
