LTC Andrew Hall, Ph.D.
is currently assigned as an Operations Officer in the Operations Directorate (J3)  of the Joint Staff.  His work in the Deputy Directorate for Regional Operations coordinates worldwide allocation of forces and risk mitigation as a part of the Global Force Management Process.   LTC Hall received a B.S. in Computer Science from West Point, a M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Ph.D. in Management Science from the R. H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park.  LTC Hall has served for five years teaching in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at West Point, teaching the Core Mathematics Program and also serving as the Course Director for the Advanced Mathematics Program.  He has also  worked on Campaign Planning and Effects Assessment for XVIIIth ABC/MNC-I while deployed forward in Baghdad and on Manpower Planning and Strength Forecasting for the Army G1. LTC Hall has previously conducted research modeling wireless infantry communications networks for Land Warrior, and has research interests in Military Manpower Modeling, Cyber Operations, Optimization, Simulation and Mathematical Finance.
