is an Army Network Scientist whose formal military occupational specialty is Operations Research and Systems Analysis (ORSA). His dissertation research with the Naval Postgraduate School Department of Applied Mathematics is in Network Science, specifically the implications of graph comparison techniques on Department of Defense attack, defense, and stability decision making. A recent arrival for his third tour at West Point (following time as a Cadet and rotating junior faculty), Jon is looking forward to building upon the excellent previous work of the Network Science Center. He has a Master of Science in Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School and a BS in Mathematical Sciences from the United States Military Academy at West Point. His experience includes the use of quantitative and qualitative data science methods to assess the operational progress of military units against their goals at home and in combat with the 10th Mountain Division. Jon also served as an Assistant Professor at the United States Military Academy, teaching mathematics and ethics and as an Associate Fellow for the Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group (SSG XXVI).
