LTC Scott Nestler, Ph.D.
is currently an Assistant Professor in the Operations Research Department at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. LTC Nestler received a B.S in Civil Engineering from Lehigh University, a M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School, and a Ph.D. in Business and Management from the University of Maryland. Previously LTC Nestler served as: Director of the Center for Data Analysis and Statistics and Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at West Point; Chief of Strategic Assessments for Multi-National Force-Iraq, a Research Analyst at the Operations Research Center of Excellence in the Department of Systems Engineering at West Point, a Force Structure Analyst at the Department of the Army Headquarters, and in operational assignments with Air Defense Artillery units in Texas, Southwest Asia, and South Korea. Currently, LTC Nester is working on the Frontier Markets Model at the Network Science Center at West Point.
