Our Ladies’ Lunch Bunch Bible studies are continuing to thrive. We have been blessed with the addition of several more women who either attend, help write lesson plans, teach, provide lunch, help with administration, (or a combination of many/all of the above!) and generally invest in the lives of our young women here.
The Wednesday group for Cow and Firstie girls is studying the Names of God this year. Our theme verse is, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10.
The Thursday group for Yearlings is studying the book of Proverbs. They are learning to avoid the “pits” of material/money lust, romance/sexual lust, power lust, anger lust, and pleasure lusts of all kinds.
We have had several events for the women only thus far. We had a meet and greet brunch in September which allowed the Plebe girls to meet some Christian Firstie girls who are willing to encourage and mentor them.
They spent a fun afternoon picking apples, then creating marvelous desserts in Clare Miller’s kitchen. We got in the Christmas spirit with a day of Christmas Crafts in the barn and Kookies in the Kitchen.
