40th Anniversary Season!
Welcome, and we hope you have a chance to catch us in our 40th Anniversary season. In 1972 a group of Cadets assembled in North Auditorium to organize a pipe band. In 1973 this Cadet group was formally recognized as the United States Corps of Cadets Pipes & Drums and achieved club status under CDT John Gilbert, ‘75 and CDT Douglas McGregor, ‘76. In 1977 the Pipes and Drums, USCC hosted the first Tattoo, a now annual tradition.
New Equipment!

Thanks to the Directorate of Cadet Activities we were able to complete an entire refitting of the band.   Three years ago the bands equipment was in disrepair, but thanks to DCA and several donations, the band is now equipped more appropriately to what should be expected in a military band.  Over the past two years the band has replaced worn and damaged items with the result being that the band is almost 100% reequipped.  Thanks to DCA and to our donors.

The Dancers are Back!
After a hiatus of over ten years, the USCC Pipes & Drums dancers are back!  Cadet Alissah McGill and Cadet Alexis Martinez are spearheading efforts to resurrect the dance program at the United States Military Academy.  CDT McGill performed as part of the Army-Navy "Battle-of-the-Bands" in December of 2013 and also attended workshops with the Royal Military College of Canada Highland Dancers in January.  We are excited to bring back what was once a huge component of the band.
USCC Pipes & Drums "Pipes on the Hudson" CD Release!
Working alongside the USMA band, the USCC Pipes & Drums recorded their first album last spring.  The title of the album is "Pipes on the Hudson: 1973-2013". It was our honor to work alongside SSG Lane and SSG Skinner of the USMA Band as part of this project. SSG Brandie Lane is a GRAMMY award winning sound engineer and SSG Skinner is an audio engineer who is known for recording well-known western regional artists, and also did recording work for the University of Oklahoma bands. This is an exciting project for all parties, since we are the first bagpipe ensemble that SSG Lane or SSH Skinner have ever worked with.

The CD is available wherever you see the USCC Pipes & Drums perform.
