For Cadets–Academic Individual Academic Development (AIAD)

Cadets have opportunities to do AIADs at numerous sites around the country and internationally in support of their educational objectives. The Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering has many partners in government, academic, and industry that provide support for these opportunities. We support an average of 35 cadets per year for AIAD travel to such locations as Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratory, MIT Lincoln Labs, the Reagan Test Range at Kwajalein Atoll, CERN (the international particle accelerator center in France), NASA, and many others.  For information about AIAD opportunities in the Department of Physics and Nuclear Engineering or contact Dr. Dan Schultz, Supervisory Physicist, at daniel.schultz@usma.edu
