classes for foreign-born spouses ACS is offering free classes to provide support for foreign-born spouses with information geared for a new life in the U.S. Classes cover: English as a second language, joining Army life and culture, educational resources, assistance with naturalization or visa applications and simply making friends. Classes are held every second and fourth Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in bldg. 622. Upcoming classes are scheduled for Nov. 8 and 29. Registration is not required. Leaves can also be bagged in the biodegradable bags available at Self Help (not black or green bags). No rocks, sticks or paper should be mixed into leaves. Sticks (branches) should be cut into 5’ lengths and bundled and tied with string. Bundles sticks should be placed at your trash collection point. Ensure nothing blocks the truck’s access. Don’t park your car or allow children’s toys on the leaves. There is no need to call DHPW. Leaves will be picked up as soon as time and resources allow. Tribute

Feinstone lecture announced The former professor has published more than 30 books and more than 100 articles and taught at Georgetown and Marshall Universities, the Colorado School of Mines, the University of Miami and Michigan State. He was also the geography editor on ABC’s "Good Morning America" for seven years and joined NBC News in 1996 as the geography analyst. His geography series, "The Power of Place" aired on PBS for several years. The lecture is made possible by an endowment from Dr. Sol Feinstone to help young men and women become more aware of the American heritage of freedom. The lecture is free and open to the public.
