Training
holiday
WEST POINT -- The Thanksgiving post-wide training holiday for all uniformed
personnel at the U.S. Military Academy is Nov. 23.
Major Activity Directors of MEDDAC and DENTAC may establish duty requirements that meet their operational needs.
Supervisors are encouraged to grant annual leave or leave-without-pay to civilian employees who request the day off.

WASHINGTON (military.com) -- As of Oct. 1, active-duty service members are
authorized chiropractic care. The benefit does not extend to family members.
The care is available only at sites authorized by DoD. Service members may be treated by a chiropractic provider if referred by their primary care manager.

TSP funds rise in
October
WASHINGTON (govexec.com) -- The Thrift Savings Plan’s C, S and I funds gained
ground in October, according to the latest statistics from the Federal
Retirement Thrift Investment Board.
The C fund, which invests in common stocks, inched up 1.85 percent, its first positive movement since May. The fund has dropped 24.90 percent over the past 12 months. The F fund gained 2.12 percent and the G fund gained 0.41 percent.

WASHINGTON (military.com) -- Frontier Airlines is offering discounted fairs for
all active and reserve military personnel through Feb. 13.
The discounted military rate will be 35 percent off published fares for round trip travel to any Frontier destination. Tickets must be purchased before Feb. 13, 2002.
