'Digging' the bicentennial

Col. Pat Kane, (far left) USMA Bicentennial Office director and Superintendent Lt. Gen. William J. Lennox Jr. lead a contingent of diggers in planting the symbolic Bicentennial tree. Two hundred trees were planted this year in honor of the academy’s founding. Local boy scouts, N.Y. State Senator William Larkin (left) and DEC’s William Rudge (center) also participated.
