Did you know that Tricare pays for mail order drugs purchased only from the National Mail Order Pharmacy? The Federal Code of regulations lists four authorized categories of pharmacy services: military treatment facilities, network retail pharamacies, non-network retail pharmacies and the mail service program. The Tricare manual further states that drugs must be furnished in accordance with all applicable state laws and licensing requirements. This means that the cost of drugs purchased on the internet is not reimbursed and becomes the responsibility of the beneficiary.
