"We wanted to have color in every issue and we wanted to expand the number of pages," Whaley said. "We worked with the Directorate of Contracting to choose the very best printer for the academy’s newspaper."
Whaley said given the current trends in newspaper design, color should make the Pointer View an even better command vehicle.
"The newspaper is a major communication tool for the community and plays an important role in keeping the folks who live and work here connected," he explained. "We have great newspaper and adding color to every issue only improves it."
The staff of the Poughkeepsie Journal is professional and experienced and should make all the difference in the world, Whaley added.
"We are very excited about having the Poughkeepsie Journal print our newspaper," he said. "They are part of the Gannett Newspaper chain and their print quality is fantastic."
