Engineering Programs among top in Nation
West Point’s civil and mechanical engineering programs have achieved their highest ratings ever in the U.S. News and World Report “America’s Best Colleges 2005” edition, released last week. In the category “Schools whose highest degree is a bachelor’s or master’s,” the U.S. Military Academy civil engineering program ranks second in the nation, up one place from last year.

Class of 1950 Soldier's remains identified
Fifty-four years after his death, 1st Lt. Edmund J. “Teddy” Lilly III will come home to his family to receive a proper burial at Cross Creek Cemetery in Fayetteville, N.C., Oct. 21 and end a half century worth of mystery.

N.Y. State Fair to exhibit 4-H Projects
Five youths from West Point’s Youth Services who participate in the 4-H club here have been selected to exhibit their projects at the New York State Fair in Syracuse Thursday.

Bobby Ross to host weekly radio show at The Thayer Hotel
Beginning September 9, legendary football coach Bobby Ross, the new head coach of the Army Black Knights football team, will start hosting an hour-long live weekly radio show, Inside Army Football with Bobby Ross, from the lounge of The Thayer Hotel. 

Football team adapts to new leadership during summer camp: Part II
The progress of the team has come along well, while the pace of camp was intensified the first week since academics began Aug. 16. The players have been receptive to the new system and how the experience of the coaching staff is helping them better themselves as players.

Leadership is the hallmark of the U. S. Military Academy and this characteristic brims from the four newly appointed team captains for the Army Black Knights’ 2004 football season.
