CA What?
Compiled by Irene D. BrownEditors note: This biweekly column is intended to provide answers to workforce members concerns about the ongoing commercial activity studies and workforce analyses. Anyone wishing to submit a question can send it via exchange mail to Irene Brown (yi9121), snail mail to PV, bldg. 600, Room 100, Taylor Hall or phone 938-3883. Answers are compiled by the USMA Directorate of Resource Management.
Q: Since the commercial activity studies have begun Ive heard about a DRM Web site that was going to keep the community informed on this process. Why has nothing been done with this site? Ive been in there numerous times and NO new information has been added. And why isnt there a link to this site from the official USMA Web site?
A: The DRM Web page has not been updated because there has not been anything new to report. We are currently trying to update the Web page with charts used by the USMA chief of staff at the monthly briefings to the workforce. The updated Milestone Chart for the Custodial Services Study and the Planning Schedule for the Logistics Services Study have been added to the Web page. General A-76 program information is available through links on the page. There is also a link from the USMA contracting Web page to the custodial services Performance Work Statement. And a link from the USMA official Web site to DRM is available through the staff directory.
Q: We never hear about the workforce analyses. Are they still being done?
A: The work force analyses are ongoing. DRM will be presenting a plan of action to the chief of staff for review and approval regarding the scope of the analyses.
Q: When will West Point announce the next set of CA studies and what activities will be involved?
A: CA studies programmed for FY00 will be announced to the workforce and the public upon Department of Army approval. We anticipate having that approval by October.
