WEST POINT, N.Y. -- West Point Schools participate in the National School Lunch Program.
The cafeteria offers two different entrees every day. Students choose their entree each morning in the classroom. Costs are as follows: Elementary School $1.50, Middle School $1.65, reduced lunch .25, a la carte milk .40. Snacks are also available on a cash only basis.
There are two classroom programs offered through the cafeteria -- a snack program for pre-kindergarten only (50¢ p/day) and classroom milk for grades K-4 only (40¢ p/day).
Payment methods
All lunches, milk and preschool snacks may be purchased on a daily basis with
cash. A pre-pay tally system is also offered for these programs. Georgi Nappo,
the cafeteria manager, will be accepting pre-payment for lunches Aug. 20, 9 a.m.
to 3 p.m. in the school cafeteria. More specific information will be sent home
with students.
Lunches may be charged a maximum of three times. You will be notified when your child has to charge lunch and payment must be made immediately. We discourage lunch charging, yet recognize that emergencies do occur.
Special dietary needs
If your child has special dietary needs due to medical reasons, please send in a
note from the doctor stating the problem and listing exactly what the child may
eat or drink. If a specific brand name is required, please state the name brands
in the official request.
Comments and concerns are always welcomed. Once school begins, parents can call the cafeteria manager, Georgi Nappo, at 938-3737 from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., for more information
