West Point preparing for housing privatization initiative 
The Department of the Army, in its goal toward a mission-focused military, is privatizing many of its current programs to increase the warfighting capacity of its Soldiers.

It's now or never
Department of Defense officials are accepting comments on the National Security Personnel System. DOD will take comments from the public for 30 days and then confer with employee unions about those comments for another 30 days.

O'Neill JROTC earns honors
The James I. O’Neill JROTC unit, known as the Buffalo Soldier Squadron, passed their first formal inspection Feb. 16.

Community turns out for 'Viva! Las Vegas'
The West Point Women’s Club held its annual fund-raiser, “Viva! Las Vegas,” Feb. 25 at the Thayer Hotel and, by all accounts, it was a resounding success.  

Model UN club wins national championship
Over the weekend of Feb. 19-20, the West Point Model United Nations team won the National Championship at the Harvard National Model United Nations Conference in Boston for the first time in its history.

Women's basketball heads into playoffs with confidence
Preseason polls aren’t always indicative of the passion in a team’s heart. Sixth place was the predicted finish for the 2004-05 Army women’s basketball team, but they’ve been proving the critics wrong every step of the way.
