LTC Dave Jones
Lieutenant Colonel Dave Jones is a 1985 graduate of the United States Military Academy. He is an infantry officer with over 26 years of peacetime and combat experience. He served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm in 1991 in combat operations in Iraq and a decade later in Kuwait, and most recently in Afghanistan, returning from a year deployment in June 2009, where he served as the Senior Mentor/Team Chief at the National Military Academy of Afghanistan (NMAA). He has taught and authored Leadership and Ethics courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and earned Instructor of the Year honors in 2003 at the US Army Command and General Staff College. Lieutenant Colonel Jones has conducted numerous HS Leadership and Ethics Conferences, business leader seminars, presented at national college conferences, Leadership, Character and Ethics Symposiums/Forums at each of the other Service Academies, and for 4 years ran the National Conference on Ethics in America (NCEA) at West Point. LTC Jones currently serves on the USMA Staff, and has been selected to assume duties as SCPME’s John Alexander Hottell III Chair for Character Development in June, 2012. LTC Jones has a unique passion for Leadership and Character Development.
LTC Jones’s awards and decorations include: Air Assault and Airborne wings, Ranger Tab, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Meritorious Service Medal (5 Awards), Defense Joint Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4 Awards), Army Commendation Medal (5 Awards), NATO Medal, and Overseas Ribbon.
