Major Fran Murphy is an Instructor of Economics and Research Analyst at the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis. He is an armor officer who has served with the 1st Infantry Division in Germany and Ft. Riley, Kansas, and on deployments to the Middle East. MAJ Murphy earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and English at West Point in 2002 and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in 2011. He won the William F. Murdy Award for Teaching Excellence in 2012. His primary areas of research are microeconomics, labor economics, and talent management.
