Major Liesl Himmelberger is a strategic plans and policy officer with more than 9 years of service in the U.S. Army. She completed an operational deployment to Iraq (2004-2005) with 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. Her past assignments include command of an intelligence company and service as an intelligence planner in Korea (2007-2009). She served as an intelligence officer for an aviation squadron and as a platoon leader and executive officer for an intelligence company in Germany (2004-2007). Major Himmelberger currently serves as an Instructor of Economics and Department Facilities Officer for the Social Sciences Department at the U.S. Military Academy.
