MAJ Kaine Meshkin is an Assistant Professor of American Politics in the Department of Social Sciences at the United States Military Academy. He enlisted in the Army as a private in 1997 and served three years in the Field Artillery. In 2000, he reenlisted to become an Army Counterintelligence Special Agent, where he supported Army intelligence operations in Europe. In 2002, he was accepted into the Army’s Green-to-Gold scholarship program and attended the University of Texas at Arlington. There, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and commissioned as an Armor Officer in 2006. In 2010, MAJ Meshkin attended the Military Intelligence Captain’s Career Course and became an intelligence officer. In 2013, MAJ Meshkin transferred into Functional Area 59, Army Strategist. He has served in a variety of units and positions, including as a Scout Platoon Leader in the 1st Infantry Division and as a Detachment Commander in the 500th MI Brigade. MAJ Meshkin has deployed to both Afghanistan and Iraq. He is married with three children.
