Richard M. Yon is an Instructor of American Politics, Policy and Strategy at the United States Military Academy and coordinates the Center for the Study of the Presidency & Congress fellowship program. He teaches courses on the American Presidency, Legislative Politics, and American Politics. Yon’s recent research examines the role of the Vice President and has interviewed Vice Presidents, chiefs of staff, cabinet secretaries, national security advisors, and other members of presidential administrations as part of this research. He has written several book chapters and articles on the presidency. Yon’s most recent work, “The Biden Vice Presidency: Perpetuating Influence or Restoring Historical Insignificance?” appears in The Obama Presidency, published by SUNY Press.
