Major Jim Lacovara is a signal officer with more than 13 years of service in the U.S. Army. After serving the first three years of his career as an enlisted paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division, Jim was commissioned through the ROTC program in 2002. He has served in a variety of operational assignments including two tours in Iraq (2003-2004 and 2005-2006). His other past assignments include platoon leader and battalion S6 positions in the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT) and command of D/53rd Signal Battalion at Camp Roberts, CA. MAJ Lacovara currently serves as an Instructor of Economics for the Social Sciences Department at the U.S. Military Academy.
