Captain John Rohn serves as an Instructor of Economics in the Department of Social Sciences. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2007, John commissioned as a Signal Corps Officer. In January 2009 John deployed as a company executive officer in 2nd Special Troops Battalion, 2nd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. After serving in Kirkuk, Iraq for a year, John redeployed on Christmas Day, 2009. Beginning in 2011, John served as the battalion S4 for 51st Expeditionary Signal Battalion for a year before taking command in June 2012. He commanded Charlie Company Cobras for two years, relinquishing command in June 2014.
John’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and Air Assault Badge. He is a graduate of the Army’s Signal Basic Officer Leaders Course and Signal Captains Career Course.
John holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the United States Military Academy and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
