Cadet Monument
"L'Ecole Polytechnique Monument", located in Central Area, was presented to the Academy in 1919 by the cadets of the French School. It is a replica of a statue standing on the grounds of that school and is tribute to the French cadets who took part in the defense of France in 1814. Originally gilded, it has lost its finish to the elements.
