About the 2013 West Point Triathlon
Welcome to one of the longest running events in the Northeast region. The 2013 West Point Triathlon will follow a modified Spring Distance format.

Consisting of a Swim of 800 meters followed by a Bike of 22 kilometers, culminating in a run of five kilometers.

Situated on the grounds of Camp Buckner for the United States Military Academy Cadets, during their intense summer tactics leadership training program. Developing them into the Army's future 'Leaders of Character.'

The 800m Swim starts on the shores of the beautiful and tranquil Lake Popolopon.

The rolling bike course follows a route from the Transition area next to the lake, and leads out onto Highway 293, for an out and back route.

On return into transition the run takes you around the grounds of Camp Buckner to the finish line close to transition.

A fun family triathlon festival event for all abilities, from total beginners to seasoned athletes.

The West Point Triathlon is a non profit race. The funds raised go towards America's future leaders of character and gives them the opportunity to Train, race and represent the Army around the country, before moving on to various military units and overseas deployments.

These amazing men and women of the United States Military Academy Corps of Cadets, sacrifice themselves for the protection and betterment of the country. Through selfless sacrifice to the nation. We thank you whole heartedly for your support.
